But seriously, the G3 is a great Panasonic model, and for video it's hard to beat the GH2. If you can stump up the cash for those models then go for it.

I'd say get a K-5 over those though, and that's a totally unbiased, completely objective recommendation. Get the 15mm Limited as well. And the DA* 50-135. With the 15mm Limited it's pretty small, about as long as the G3 would be with a zoom lens on it, just a little taller and wider. But so much more awesome.

of my current cameras it's the gripped K7 especially with the 50mm f1.7 on, great handling, but loved my old SFX too until it died

My favorite camera is my Spotmatic II, oldie but goodie, film, but if you're going digital I can recommend the K-x. It's a sweet little thang....

Love my K-5, as long as video isn't a big feature for you it's the best you'll get without throwing a LOT more money around.

For photography, the K5. For the camera itself, my 1958 K.

Until I get used to all the features of my K5, I'm going to have to go with my 2 film favorites: ME & MX. With pancake lenses, these are small, light and very versitle. The MX I keep with B&W film and the ME with low ISO film (200 or faster, if I can get my hands on some). For DSLR, I still perfer my old friend, the K20D. It doesn't have the ISO or resolution capabilities of the K5, but it's a camera I know how to use.

Hi!

K-r, relatively cheap and good performance.

I second that thought ... the K-r is a very good camera ... and use the Pentax DA 35mm f2.4 AL lens with it. Great bang for the buck!

I see only one person read the question. The last Panasonic I owned was the FZ-20. If you really want recommendations on a camera you need to be more specific on what Type of camera you want. If you made a mistake and Meant Pentax, K5 hands down for me.
