Pentax MX

I wish to buy a Voigtlander 40mm F/2 Ultron lens- will it fit a Pentax MX camera

Yes it will but you will be unable to benefit from the "A" settings. The Voigtlander will act like a fully manual lens. You might want to look at the Pentax M 40mm f2.8 which will much cheaper but is a pancake lens as well. Yet those two lenses have different rendering. Look for sample and decide which one you like the most!

As long as it's the Pentax K version, you should be fine
