I have a K-7 and recently changed memory cards. On any setting other than Auto the recovery time between shots is very long. What am I doing wrong?

Slow card? Did you by chance enable lens corrections?

Is it possible you are talkingabout very slow shutter speeds (a second or more) andare seeing the effect of "dark frame subtraction" (Google kmows that phrase if you don't)?

Usually this is caused by using in camera shadow/highlight correction or lens correction.

I inadvertently activated the lens correction function -- thanks for the help.
