Monitor on K20D

K20D any way I can keep the monitor on while composing a picture?

No. You have to use the viewfinder.

Not sure what you mean but Live View on the on/off switch achieves this with a bit of image lag. When doing product shots and using a tripod this feature works very well.

Yes. You can use liveview to compose your picture instead of looking through the viewfinder.

Duh. I haven't picked up my K20 in a couple of years and completely forgot that it had Liveview.

I've been trying to forget. Seriously, The K20D liveview is the worst I've ever used.

Use viewfinder, take picture an check on monitor, then re-adjust

Yes, of course. That's what live view is for. The complaint of course is that its disabled for quite a long time while taking the picture so its not useful for hand held shots but its great for tripod shots like landscapes, architecture, flora, etc. The proviso being you have to focus before composing with live view.
