Useing Me super lense in K-5

I have just bought K-5 and will be arriving soon. I would like to use ME super lense that I bought about 30 years ago. I know that it will not auto-focus and thsu will have to focus manually. What other limitations will I face? What steps should I take to make best out of ME super lens?

Thanking in anticipation. Shyam

You should be able to use the lens. If the aperture ring of the lens does not have an "A" position, make sure you set custom function 27, "Using Aperture Ring", to 2, "Permitted", or the shutter will not release. With such a lens, you will need to put the camera into manual mode and push the Green button to stop down the lens for metering. When you do so, the shutter speed is set automatically based on the meter reading when the lens is stopped down.

The ME Super was sold with A series lenses, You only lose the auto focus part. Catch in focus works better than old tired eyes.

M series lenses also worked with the super. In this case refer to what DragonLord said above.
