A mode to allow you to shoot very long exposures. Exposure starts when you press and ends when you release.

It is best used with a cable or IR remote which prevents vibration of the body which should be on a tripod or dead rest for best results.

Example: 1hr exposure of star trial

History - time exposures used to be done with a pneumatic bulb and tube that pushed the shutter release, replacing the cable type release for a combination of better length and less camera motion due to the cable flex.
