speed shooting slowed down

Hi
My Pentax Kx is supposed to shoot 4.7 frames / second for up to 16 frames, and it used to, now it only shoots 3 pictures and quits. This is very frustrating as I shoot lots of sports.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
Also if anyone knows hows to get advice from Pentax and would like to share it that would be nice, since it seems to be hard to find an e-mail to ask questions.
Thanks
Richard

Either a. you were shooting in raw or b. you had shadow/highlight or lens correction enabled.

I'm guessing they had some type of three frame bracketing enabled.

Raw won't stop the camera like that, nor will shadow/highlight correction. Only lens corrections stop the burst mode after 2-3 shots.
