RAW conversion

Hi folks,

I recently bought a second hand pentax ist-d (think that's what it is called!) in order to play around with my old slr lenses. I am having trouble with the RAW files... lr doesn't recognise them, ps doesn't recognise them... I have had no success with downloaded software from internet. Any idea how I can get my raw files off my camera? I have no trouble with RAW files from my other cameras. Thanks in advance

Hazel

A card reader to get the files off the camera.

Try FastStone Image Viewer, Screen Capture, Photo Resizer ... which will work with PEF files, as does Elements. Many others also work with that file format, or DNGs. Not sure about the iST compatibility.

I agree with this. This makes things easier and faster than cables and software. Once you have a card reader, you can just use explorer to move files.
