K20d shrinks photos sporadically!

I'm looking at photos from a recent trip, and though most of the photos have come out correctly, every so often I find one that's just 120 x 160 pixels. I didn't change the settings, so what on earth is happening?

That is probably the thumbnail that shows on your display, you could be having a memory card issue. Similar things happen when a card does not get formatted, or is going bad.

I've never seen that with any of my K20D's, perhaps as already suggested by ramseybuckeye you've some memory card issues going on there.

Change the card and see if it still persists, if yes we'll need to find a plan b.

And make sure it is formatted in camera.

The problem seems to have happened with several cards. Mostly, though not only, where low light levels are involved.

I've just installed the most recent firmware so I'll see if that makes a difference. And I'll reformat the cards in-camera before using them again.
