retaining enlargements on the K10

HI, When I review my photos on the camera and enlarge them. Is there a way I can save the image? I have looked in the manual and cant find where. Whenever I push the ok button, it just reverts to the original size and image.
I would very much appreciate some help...

Zooming in while reviewing images is just that -- zooming in for a closer look; the image file itself isn't changed in any way. Later Pentax models allow you to crop in camera, but I'm pretty sure the K10D doesn't.

Yes, its only a preview to show you what the photo looks like. The actual photo has a fixed number of pixels. Most of the time, the photo will have much more pixels than the monitor, so you can "zoom in" without the photo looking any worse. You can also cut off edges (using photo editing software) and give it the appearance of it being "enlarged."

That'll be a no then, judging by the replies.

I think you're asking whether you can crop the image in-camera. This isn't usually a feature desired on DSLRs because we download the images to the computer and edit them there. I know I never looked for the option. It's commonly done on cell phones where you upload directly to a social media site.
