help with k20

We have a k20 and everytime we put a card in it there is a memory card error. We have tried to update the firmware from Pentax but it says memory card error . Even when we have the new firmware on the card that's installed in the camera. Please help. How do we get the camera to read the new firmware off the card. Thanks.

If the card is giving you an error, it will happen regardless of what you put on it. Try formatting the card to FAT and try again. If that doesn't work, you'll need a different card. Remember that the K20 is not compatible with SDXC cards, only SD and SDHC.

have tried several cards and the camera says the same thing. We tried the Scandisk extreme and a Lexar professional. Also this card was used in the camera before. Thanks for your help
