which AF control do i set?

I have a sigma 105mm that has a AF/manual control on the lens, the K20 also has a control on the body. Which combination of AF do I set so I do not damage the gearing?

If the lens is built the way it's supposed to be built, then it doesn't matter which switch you use. But if it does not disengage the AF shaft when focusing manually, you will of course want to use the switch on the camera.

Normally the AF control on the lens is supposed to be a quick way of turning on/off the AF. It shouldn't be a problem which one you use.
