replacement batteries for K-7 D-Li90

I have a Pentax K-7 but it needs a new battery. I have looked on the Pentax and Ricoh websites, but seem not to be able to buy the original D-Li190 battery anymore. Can anyone tell me what a good replacement battery is for the original. I see them online offered for 5 - 50 dollars. I have no idea what to buy. Help please.

B&H should have something. Make sure you buy a genuine Pentax. I have had so many troubles buying cheap, knock off batteries that never last.

You might also want to check Batteries Plus Bulbs and Battery Store ? Find Battery for laptop, auto, cell phone, SLA, and more - light bulb and LED - Recycling and Sales to see if they carry batteries. I know they have two compatible chargers for the K-7 series.

Adorama should have some Lenmar's for about $16-20. I have used them without issue, nor noticed any difference from the original. Pentax does not make batteries - they are all generic and labeled as needed.

I have tried a couple of different types of batteries, most recently Wasabi batteries. The charger was nice and the batteries were cheap, but they didn't seem to hold a charge in cold weather and after six months of usage, I noticed a significant decrease in battery life, while the original batteries continue to be going strong. The K5/K7 seem more tolerant of weaker batteries than the K3, where I have seen mirror flipping issues with them. So, I guess I would suggest getting brand name if you can afford it.

Will the AA adapter fit the K7? If so you may want to check it out. Get some eneloops at costco and your set.

As you are posting as a guest I have no idea where you are from, but genuine batteries are still available as they are the same battery for the K5/K5ii and K01

The battery for the K5 and K3, as well as the K-01 all share the same battery.
I would get a Wasabi Power or Watson pack, you can get a two-pack with travel charger for the same price as a genuine Pentax one.

Funny story, I got a K-01 awhile back with Pentax Battery. The serial number on that was 10 less than the pack I got with my K3
