K-50 tethering

Is it possible to tether the K-50 to a computer to take photos. Is there any way?
Thanks!

Officially, there's no way to tether the K-50. Newer bodies do allow you to tether wirelessly using a FluCard wi-fi card, however.

This third-party program offers basic tethering functionality with the K-30, so perhaps it'll work with the K-50 too:

Page 235 of the K-50 manual shows only two USB options; treat the camera as mass storage or Picture Transfer Protocol - some brands allow control of the camera using PTP but I don't see anything about this anywhere on the web at the moment for the K-50.

EDITED: PKTether as mentioned above by Adam is designed for this type of thing. You might contact the dev and see if he or she will work with you to get the kinks out of the communication if it does not work when set to K30.

PTP mode is already supported which is typically how the cameras are controlled. But the details of implementing all of the features and making the program work with the camera need to be implemented - the k30 may be close but the program may not recognize it - hard to know until someone tries it and reports back.
