AA li-ion battery

Can you use 3.7V AA li-ion batteries in a Pentax K-X

I would say no they would create a much too higher voltage for the camera. Standard chemistry AA battery are 1.5V (rechargeable 1.2) x 4 batteries in series gives you 6V doing this with 4 x 3.7V gives you 14.8V much too high for the camera.

I'm assuming you mean 2x CRV3 rather than 4x AA. I don't believe that actual AA Li Ion batteries exist as putting one in the wrong charger will result in explosion and fire. I used CRV3s in my *istD and they worked perfectly. I bought two chargers and four batteries.

I don't know. In my *istD they do and they only fit one way. Buy a pair and try.
