Updates Process

On my K-3 I have the original 1.00 firmware- I went to get the updates off Ricoh- They're currently 1.11 Got the update on the sd card 16,444kbs In the instructions it said to enter the download mode: by pressing the menu button as you turn the camera on the lcd screen will list the files, etc- As it is the lcd screen goes right to the the normal display that you would for taking a photo again, and again...........

1) Extract the bin file from the downloaded archive file.
2) Place the extracted bin file in the root directory of the memory card. The root directory is the directory that contains the DCIM directory.
3) With card in camera, keep the menu button pressed while you switch it on.

If those are the steps that you followed, I don't know what is wrong.
