Turn off screen

Is there any way to manually turn off the back screen on K5? It is very desturbing when it is illuminated when you are doing night photographing.

Keep tapping the info button - it will toggle through a few layouts (histogram, spirit level, etc) before turning off. You can also set the image display duration (post shot) to none iirc.

yes you can turn off the image review, it's in the menus. I did that a while ago just to save battery life. You can also turn off the backlight on the top LED display. Too bad you can't change the color on that, red would be ideal for night work.

I turned off instant review the instant (sic) I received my K10D. I will do the same with every other camera I get. You have to go into the shade to review anyway.
