K30 as a web cam?

Is there any way to use my K30 as web cam hooked to my laptop?

Not really, unfortunately. There is neither HDMI out nor provisioning for USB tethering.

Your best bet would be to grab a cheap USB webcam.

If you had a video capture dongle, the K-30 does do composite video output but you would need to be recording as well, you see all the numbers in the viewfinder, etc.

Not worth it! ☺

The only Pentax camera I know which can be used as a webcam (and was officially advertised as such) was the Optio 60.
Now-a-days ou may get it for near to nothing on eBay.

You will need the Windows drivers ("PC Camera Driver") for that, which are on one of the original CDs delivered only with this camera (S-SW38). Unfortunately, most offers on eBay don't come with the disks.
Also, the Optio 60 is known as extremely power hungry, so you would need some external stabilized power supply; the Optio60 has a standard power input connector for that (3V)

By the way, the Optio60 has 6MP and delivers excellent IQ for such an old camera (and comes with an optical viewfinder).
It is also known that the AF needs very good light (and FULL batteries) to work.
