Lens adaptability

My K30 just went belly up. Shooting with the flash shuts the camera down. Have to remove battery to restart it. Will the lenses and batteries work with other K series cameras?

The batteries will work with K-r, K-500, K-50, K-70, K-S1, K-S2 and KP. For the lenses it depends on what lenses you have. Basically every K mount lens produced since 1975 can be used on Pentax DSLRs. That's a big part of the beauty of K mount. The only limitations would be using lenses designed for the APS-C sensor on the fullframe K-1.

Your K-mount lenses will work on any K-mount DSLR camera, also on the K-1. If the lens is a DA lens, then the K-1 will automatically switch to the APS-C format.

And all Pentax SLR cameras work fine with the Pentax Mount Adapter K. No point saving $30 for cheap ones that don't focus to infinity, fall out of the camera, ....
