For me, on some occasions using that same lens on the K-S2 resulted in intermittent settings “flashing” and incorrect exposures. Sometimes it worked properly however; was never consistant. But it always worked on the old K-r. Anyway, I did send it in to Sigma (can’t be docked) for a firmware update and Sigma did do that as well as install the modified mount (so the K-1 won’t get that infamous scratch) and now the lens works perfectly.
Incidentally, it took a month to get it back from Sigma because they “had to wait for parts”. (That’s Sigma in Ontario, as I’m in Canada.) All done at no charge however.
