I have a new K70 and when I remove SD card from camera and put into computer i get a grey image - they thumbnail is showing the picture I took. I am formatting the card ~ Any ideas to prevent?

If you shoot raw in PEF format, there could be an issue with the Windows(?) photo viewer. Try *.DNG instead (or jpg)

You can still shoot raw, just change to dng format in the camera settings (menu #2)

Word to the wise!

I have read here when formating your card, better to format in camera than with windows, just to save some headaches it is what I have been doing for over a year and not had any problem!

Did you copy the software on the CD for your camera?

The codec recommended by @rogerstg should have been on that CD.
