Batteries

My K200 indicates that the batteries have lost their power. I have tried new batteries that I know are well charged and it doesn't help.

Take a look at the battery contacts in the camera. It is possible they have become tarnished over the years especially if the camera was unused for awhile. You might try cleaning them with a pencil eraser.

Also double check you have the batteries inserted properly, I have put those AA's in wrong and thought there was a problem.
