Pentax *ist

Hi I have not used my Pentax *ist for a long time I have installed new battery's and memory card
the display is showing av - - 167 an d a full battery Help please

Try turning your aperture ring to "A", ensure the lens is properly mounted, and that the contacts are clean.

Hi Adam thanks for your advice my *ist is now working

Yeh, those electric contacts get grubby after a while, wipe with electrical fluid or just a dry cotton bud. The lens ring is worth a clean too. Esspecailly if you camera near pollen. That stuff gets everywhere.
