pentax 67 mirror lock up

Is there a way to bring the mirror back down after I have brought it up with the mirror lock up lever other than shooting a frame?

Welcome to the forum.

Not on the 6x7 MLU or 67 (not sure about the 67ii). Once you've locked it up you have to fire the shutter to drop it back down.

Once the mirror is up, that's your cue to get going and shoot!
Film is cheap and plentiful. If you knock the MLU nib and the mirror goes up, go for it and shoot something worthwhile.
