"suddenly"?

your camera had been working fine in this operation and then it no longer sends photos to the computer - does the Mac see the camera as an external drive at all?

A card reader is a wonderful thing.

Could you explain the process you are using and what is happening, including if you are importing through software, etc. There are a lot of variables here to examine.

Check your cable, and also check to see if an update to your computer hasn't fouled something up. This is probably not a camera problem, unless the plug in the camera is broken.

Two months have passed without a 'peep' from the OP.
I think it is time to forget this one unless he shows any resumed interest.

I need to start checking dates in these things before I reply.

I always insert the card into my Mac´s reader and never had that kind of problem.

Somewhere I read that it is always better to use SD card reader rather than the cable since it might heat up the board in the camera.. If the TO used always cable to transfer his/her photos, then probably something happened related to overheating?
