Fixing error message "lens error 0x0111

The camera was stood on with the lens extended. The lens is retracted but will not open. how do I take the camera apart to fix.

This model is at least twelve years old, and is available secondhand cheaply. It would probably be far less trouble to just replace it, either with similar or a newer model that has a higher specification. Either way, try not to tread on this one.

Thanks, but I was I was trying to repair not add to landfill. I was hoping it was be easy to get an assemble diagram.
