I inherited a Pentax Optio WG-2 camera. I am able to download photos to my computer with no problem. There are videos on the camera and I am unable to get them to be recognized so I can download them. What am I missing? I have no software specific to Pentax on my computer.

Welcome!

I'm not 100% sure but I think the WG2 records video in Mpeg4 format. Make sure your computer has the latest Codec/drivers to recognize this format.
I believe Windows Media Player started to support it in version 12.

How are you downloading them - USB cable or card reader ?

With a card reader it's just a matter of drag and drop.
