when i screw on another lens, my pentax k-x won't shoot

A few questions to clarify:

1) Is this the k-x digital or the KX film camera?
2) What lenses are you using exactly?
3) Does it work with any lens? And if so which one works, and which ones do not?
4) Did it work in the past and doesn't now or is this a new lens that has never worked that is causing an issue?
5) When you say "Won't shoot" what exactly does that mean? Does it try to focus and fail? Or just will not trip the shutter?

Please be precise as to lens name as Pentax has made many different lenses with different attributes.

You probably need to change the menu setting to allow the aperture ring, and/or set the aperture ring to "A".
