IQZOOM manually advance film

how do I manually advance the film in my camera? I use a iqzoom 160 and the first few parts of my film are ruined so I want to advance the film to shoot on the unexposed/unruined film. do I just do this in a dark room with my fingers? or is there different way to do this?

Why don't you just shoot anyway?
I'm assuming the film isn't mechanically damaged, just that the emulsion is exposed.
Or toss that roll out.

Does that camera automatically run the film forward or anything when you close the door? Assuming it is just as you left it when you opened the door and closed it again, then just shoot a couple of frames of anything (with the assumption they are already ruined) and then go ahead and shoot the rest of the roll normally. The counter will be wrong but I'm assuming you'll still be able to rewind at the end of the roll with no trouble.

Shoot a few blanks with the lens cap on if you want to create ac clean starting section.
