I got a new 64 SD Card to update my firmware. I turn off camera. Find what firmware I have in my K-x with no card in the camera. I down load the new firmware. I put it on my new SD card. I got fully charged batteries in the camera. I install the SD card. Now try to update the camera. I got error message disk is not formatted. Screen is the same when I searched to see what firmware I had.

Your new card is an SDXC card which uses exFAT formatting which the camera doesn't recognise so you need to use an older SD or SDHC card to update your firmware first.

KX will only use up to 32 GB. If you already have 1.02 it may read SDXC cards, but to update the firmware an SD or SDHC of 32GB should work, format in camera first.
