A quick test: pick the shot done with the Q and the one done with a 645D:
(1)
(2)
I'd say the background is the dead give-away. Unless you had the lens at say F/16 or higher with the 645D.

I'm assuming you used the flash with the Q's shot?

Meh, the 5-15mm lens is $300. The cheap lenses are fixed aperture niche lenses. The Q is cool, but I would want to pay $300 plus lenses max, and I could buy into a Samsung NX for around that with better lenses and image quality. As for the NEX you can hook up just about anything with an adapter and it has only a 1.5x crop. You could be shooting Taks or Zeiss cheaper than a new Q lens. Size is the Q's advantage not cost.
how about comparing it with sony from same place.

The sony lens 18-55 is 28500 Yen

????.com - ??? SEL1855 E18-55mm F3.5-5.6 OSS [18-55mm/F3.5-5.6 ???E]??????

Here is Q standard zoom for 24800 yen

????.com - ?????? 02 STANDARD ZOOM [???????? 5-15mm F2.8-4.5]??????

Now the sony lens is F3.5 - 5.6 lens compared to pentax Q lens which is F2.8 - 4.5 .

Sony lens is not only slower lens it is also expensive than the 300$ Q lens you were talking about.

In the U.S. that's illegal everywhere except for a few places in Nevada.

That lens only costs $100 if you buy the kit. It is overpriced if you buy it outside of the kit, I agree. You're still going to get better low light performance out of a NEX with that lens than you would with a Q from sensor size alone. NEX lenses might be expensive bought separately, but you can use just about anything with adapters. Many very high quality lenses that you can't with a Q. Even a 28mm Distagon would become a long telephoto lens on a Q.

I think there is no deny of advantages of NEX over Q except for the fact that Q is really much more compact system.

For me sony's main attraction is Zeiss lenses. I will kill to have sony R1's lens on my pentax system.

The 645D/Q shots photos weren't taken by me, but by that guy whose flickr link is below the photos.

And yes (1) was the 645D and (2) was the Q.

The comparison just illustrates that in everyday use - ie posting family and friend snapshots to the web, small print usage etc - the output from the two vastly different cameras would be hard to tell apart in terms of detail, colour rendering etc. Same story probably with most modern cameras, not just the Q and the 645D.

Sure - like this one, for example.

The next version is supposed to be even better - and talk about a ubiquitous device.

I think that acronym needs some rework before it enters the wild.
Ahh, so you do know what it means!

I wasn't sure anyone who gets excited about Gilligan reruns would be in the right age group. :-)

The acronym is at least 20 years old, but the concept predates civilization.

And they agree, way too expensive for what it is. No doubt it's a cool little camera though.

High marks on the review. 4/5 stars. Pretty impressive.

As I expected the Q does alright high ISO wise. I think from the images its even better than my Km or on par with it. However depth isn't there in the pictures. I was really hoping it could isolate objects a little bit more. But with a sensor size that small it was wishful thinking.

But I agree with the review price is too high. Pentax needs to lower the price on this thing in order to attract more people otherwise it is a niche market in which the general public will go with other brands.
