Well done - great price for a (potentially) great camera! I'm looking forward to getting the fisheye for some fun photos shortly (hopefully).

In Japan

For [Body + Standard Prime]

Up to Jan 31, 12 when the cashback campaign was still on, it was 51,600 Yen taking no account of Shop's Point Reimbursement of 5,160 Yen & Pentax's Cashback of 5,000 Yen. Taking the point reimbursement and cashback into account, it was 41,440 Yen.

At the point of Feb 1 (after the cashback campaign was gone), it was 49,700 Yen. Taking into account the point reimbursement, it would set back at 44,730 Yen.

Aden sitll have it for $580

Checked it out there today. Quite impressive for the size. Not sure if I can get past the small sensor though.

It's mainly for my collection, the shooter in me still wants at least MF and APS-C

If you're serious about buying at Aden you can still make and offer, they're good that way BUT not all the sales will do that only certain ones which still has to be cleared by the boss.

UK Amazon it's under GBP350:

Pentax Q Compact System Camera with 8.5mm Lens Kit: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

That would mean if I brought it back to HK and had my VAT refunded, it would be around GBP280! (US$445). That's with the kit prime.

Prodigital is now at USD $500 for kit with standard prime lens. Appears to offer free shipping to US but I didn't pull the trigger to see if there are other charges that may appear. If I don't get another APS-C body this year and the new travel zooms don't tempt, the Q may be in my (jacket) pocket come autumn.

Wow... take off the UK sales tax (for export) and it's well under US$400! Very tempting. I'd definitely pull the trigger if not for my hunch that the next Q body will have a 1/1.7" sensor... on the other hand, I'm looking forward to seeing images from the new F1.1 portrait lens on the other thread, that might persuade me!

After i take a few shots with that sonnetar which isn't in my hands as yet ...i'll jump in again as i really don't want to replace my fisheye

just remember it did go down to $489.9x for 2 days but it seems it's based on the CAD dollars rise and fall against the US dollar.
