I think the Q prices is starting to go south to compete better with the competitons offerings....

Local store here in Toronto.
Day 1. $799
Day 3/4? $769
Day 5. $699

what will it be in the following days counting down to Christmas? I think $499 is the sweet spot

I want to get one to replace my W90, when prices come down. I think $800 is a bit steep. I will wait. I know it is not perfect, but for what it is, it seems like a great "little" camera that acts big!

Holding at $699 CAD here in Toronto at Aden Camera.

Aden camera is selling it the cheapest in all of Canada at 699. Everywhere else i see it at 799. So i doubt it will hit 499 or even 599 by christmas. At the most i can only forsee a 649 price tag come christmas time but only if there is a surplus in supply.

For those Canadian's out there. Henry's has dropped the Q to $679 making it cheaper than Aden Camera to buy. Signs are looking good for a $599 price tag for Christmas.

Also if you're a regular customer at Aden (where-ever), you can probably get a better than published deal, there's alway a little leeway to negotiate for repeat business.

It won't be $599 unless Ricoh offers retailers a rebate/sell-through promotion more significant than any already existing.

$679 is a very good deal.

I've never heard of this site, however, but if you pay through paypal, I think they guarantee your purchases.. at least they do on ebay...
