In case anyone is inclined to go to the show this weekend in NYC, bring your Q. The case is pretty cool. The Pentax booth is hoppin' and they have all the Q lenses there to try out. (photo by BrendanPK with his cell phone.)

Hi mel,

That's just not fair. They do this kind of thing in CA and NY -- even in MN, but Chicago gets no love from Pentax!

Is this a case that Pentax sells? Did you ask them when a non toy longer lens will be introduced?

Actually the case is still a prototype and not yet available on the market. And no we didn't discuss lenses for the Q. More about the Ricoh thing, future of Pentax, hopes for K-mount lens development etc.

I drove down from Canada for the show. Compared to the show in Toronto, this show is HUGE, but to me the Pentax booth was disappointing. The Toronto show, Pentax had a much larger / nicer booth with more items on display. At least I came down for the experience vs the Pentax booth. Great time none the less.

Interesting on the jacket. He came across as much more approachable in the tweed versus say, the Canon guys in their dark lawyer suits.
