Options available *now* for K/Q mount

So am I correct... if I wanted something now to put a k-mount lens on a q, I should order a Q-C and a C-K?

These products all seem to be in china... how long does it take for them to get here? Any US based options?

Actually upon reflection... I have a 4/3 to Pentax K mount adapter already - with an aperture ring, are there any q-m4/3 available in the US?

Actually, there is another option: the Pentax K - Pentax Q with aperture ring just proposed by RJ on eBay (seller: jinfinance)

Price: USD59, free shipping

I expect the the bulk of these adapters will be from China for a while. My two previous experiences with the seller of the adapter that Mistral has posted, "jinfinance" suggests that from Shanghai to my Chicago suburb will take about a week with the free standard shipping. I just ordered one of these, so we'll see if the shipping time is consistent.

Thanks. I've ordered one. I'll have my fingers crossed that it arrives soon, I was hoping to test it on a lens I won't have much longer.

Thanks Mistral.

On my side, i have suggested to representatives of Pentax France that they should opt quickly for such a Q/K converter, including the following dedicated functions :

- manual aperture ring (like on following pict)
- DA and FA series lenses recognition, making possible to use Q's sensor stabilisation (exclusive)
- internal shutter (i.o. to be able to use high speed flashes - exclusive)

Hence, the possibility to sale this adapter with a real added value.

They answered me the request was transmitted to Pentax Japan.

Will do. FYI I received it today. Build quality seems adequate. Unfortunately focusing is very very problematic. I think we may be forced to wait until Pentax releases something before using longer lenses with the q.

Interesting info. ELJamoquio, how big a lens did you try on the Q? My RJ adapter has not arrived yet. Have used the Q>C, C>K adapters together. Tripod mounted, the 180 lens was okay to focus on stationary subjects. Haven't tried longer yet.
thanks

I received the RJ adapter today, I don't have any problem with focusing even with my Tamron 300mm f/2.8. The preview image on the LCD does not show you how sharp the final image will be, just focus to the sharpest point and shoot, the results will be better.
I've got a few test shots uploaded on Flickr already: Q-K Adapter - a set on Flickr

All shot from monopod or tripod. I've had some success shooting hand-held, but nothing interesting enough to share.

I tried a 500 mm, a 500 mm + 2x, and a 300mm yesterday with poor results all around.

I tried a 50 mm today with pretty good results. YMMV.
