Compact camera contest now allows the Q!

Q owners please consider entering in the P&S contest in the compact camera forum. Lets show off what the Q can do.
thanks

Bad decision. The Q has a much larger sensor than any other allowable camera which makes it in a class of it's own.

Surely you jest (or made the same mistake i did):

Pentax Q key specifications:

12.4MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor (1/2.3" size - 6.17 x 4.55 mm)

Samsung TL350:

10 MP back illuminated CMOS Image Sensor 1/2.4″

Anyone with a Q is welcome to compete

Speaking of sensor sizes, can the new Canon G1x partake?

Lens looks too small for the sensor.

Adam, no actual agreement on rules was ever agreed upon. the main rule "winner sets up and judges next competition" is still in effect. In competition #50 (now running) I set rules to limit sensor size to 1", to allow the x10 and zx1 and decided to let the Q in. If the winner of #50 makes allowance for the G1X then it can enter. For #50 it is not allowed. I'm sure all the new tech will continue to 'stimulate' the 'compact/PnS' debate. That was why i changed the rules to include rule: "10. Contest winner determines the rules, selects theme, sets closing date and judges next competition"

If I win a future competition I think i will add the Nikon v1/j1 and micro 43 plus the G1X (that should stir things up). Those competitions are more about capturing the themes essence than IQ (for me anyhow)
