An older pic from the Animate Anime Convention that I felt like revisiting now that I have a slightly better grasp of both LR4 and Silver Efex Pro 2. I guess I'm drawn to this shot because it tells a story and I liked the expression on the Cosplay Judge's face as the contestant explained to her how he went about making his costume.

A few of my first shots with the Q + 02 lens. So far, I really like this little camera, the only camera that I've used and can compare it to is a LX3,
It compares very favorably IMO.

The shot to shot card writing in RAW is a little annoying, but I'm not an action shooter - to say the least, so I guess it won't really be too big a deal.

My first post here - hi!

Welcome run dog! I like your second shot of the girder. Very dramatic angle and perspective. Could make for a compelling B&W.

Went back to downtown Stuart to snag a few shots since I feel I have grown as a photo enthusiast since November which was the last time I was there. Everything taken with the 06.

Love the photos here and I continue to be amazed at what you all are producing with the Q. I'm fairly new to the Q myself so I haven't had much time to get used to it yet. Here are a couple of boring shots taken while testing out a 01 lens. I am stuck at home studying but will be getting out this weekend and really put the Q to use. BTW I really like the Focus Peaking and Manual Assist much better than I thought I would.

2.5mm cctv lens

I had my CS 2.5mm lens at a small old train station and took a few shots, then played in PS Elements with the correct camera distortion filter. Here are the before and after images. The lens is quite sharp for most of the center but gets badly soft on the right and left sides. I was quite impressed with the indoor shots but lens flair from strong lights are a problem.

My first post here - hi!

Very nice set of images I like the train station and the path in the woods best

I like the shots, nicely done. I am not a fan of B&W but I really like your first shot

A standout feature of the Q is inexpensive telephoto shots. Here are three extreme examples, shot as in camera jpeg with an old adapted Vivitar 80-200 macro zoom at 200mm.
The top picture was at a line of sight range of 12 miles. The middle picture was 6 miles range, and the one below was at 10 miles. When zooming in on the original below, one would be able to make out a person on a balcony ten miles distant. Atmospheric haze has some impact here; no filters or processing other than a simple one step 'enhancement' involved

At the other extreme it is interesting to check an adapted macro lens. Using the old seventies Vivitar 80-200 macro, I held this (Dime size) coin in my hand and when it came into focus, took the picture with the lens on it's macro setting.

Arnold when you have a minute add a review of that zoom to the adapted lens sticky. Looks like a good one.
