02 lens, ND on, f8, 1/3s
This was my first picture when the storm came. After this I set the camera to interval shooting and put it on a tripod. I left it to shoot 565 images and none of them has a single lightning on them
Anyway I compiled them to a timelapse. It's flickering a bit because initially I wasn't planning to do a timelapse and left the camera on aperture priority.

The battery depleted at the end of the video unfortuntely but it wasn't fully charged to begin with. I really didn't plan to shoot interval. Otherwise with the display and instant review turned off for interval shooting the Q can easily reach the 999 limit of continuous shooting.

To catch lighting I have learned you need to use long exposures like 30 sec.
This gives you a better chance of catching a bolt (or more) in one shot.

Yes, I'm well aware of that but this was the longest exposure I could use because it wasn't all that dark. Aperture was smallest (f8), ISO was 125 and I even used the 02's built in ND filter.

First image with 03 fisheye, following images from the same location with a Chinon 1:2.8 135mm. White frames on the wide angle picture show the tele images in context. (There aren't any post processing or cropping done to the images except for the frames in the first)

It will be interesting to see what that lens can do in good weather, looks good

I'd highly recommend it considering the price ($40-$60 on ebay). This one is in my family for at least 20-25 years and it is in perfect condition. I've been shoting with it for a long time. Used it on an old Chinon, an MZ-5n, a *istDS and now on the Q. It was a great portrait lens on film with awesome looking smooth bokeh. Chromatic aberration at 2.8-4 is the only noticable flaw for me but I can live with that.

Absolutely love the Bold Monochrome setting! 01 lens again, I can't even imagine the amount of purple fringing this shot would have had if I didn't go with Bold Monochrome. I don't know if everyone's 01 is like this but, it is the worst purple fringing lens I've ever owned luckily, it's pretty easy to get rid of in lightroom.

Nothing as fabulous as any of all these great pictures.
Just a simple document. With tiny Q.
This is taken about 72 hours after, major brain surgery, to remove a large brain tumor, my son.
