Just had time to run for the Q. These rainbows don't stay around long.

The other thing I do on weekends

Attempts in M Mode with Q-1. I think I have a lot of work to do. Yes, foggy and raining and 43 degrees, but underexposed and noisy. I worked on number 2 a lot more than 1 and 3 - they're actually a better indication of the gloomy day than with the Ev increased in PSE. Indoor flash shots in the Lodge were sharp and colorful (but all of people, so not appropriate here). I'm working on a few that might make it. 01 Prime.

Normally in May everything on this hike is in bloom and budding out.

Just standing, water condensed on the outside of rain gear (and clearly ground fog hung around until about 9:30). In the tent it was warm enough, and layered up, moving was fine. I suppose I should have taken more pictures but we didn't stop and drop packs as often as we planned, for obvious reasons

We stayed out about 40 hours of a planned 48 with just backpack stoves and no fire. Wood-burning furnace and a bunk in the "Lodge" (basically a barn) was awfully nice for a nap Sunday afternoon.

All that said - we don't get out enough any more and we enjoyed ourselves for a couple old sticks in the mud.

Another "Q" shot.

One of my goals this year is to try to improve my landscape photography. Didn't have my K5 with me when I spotted this, so out with the "Q". One thing I didn't realize was that at 5mm, the lens only closes down to F8. Wasn't expecting that. lol

F8 is max on the 02, to prevent diffraction. Use the built in Neutral Density filter if you want longer exposures. Depth of field is still good on the Q at f8.

Q, D-FA 100 around 1:1.4 on the lens, 2 images stacked in PS. A bit too much digital smearing in the red channel (is that what the term is?).

I took a bunch of shots using both my K-5 and Q with 02 while experimenting with light painting. Q won this time...
