I think I'm addicted to Bold Monochrome.
I need to try this setting. A fine job.

Crazy bokeh on that first one - is that the 01 prime?

I like the cat and the baby squirrel too.

Was that an in cam B&W conversion? Lovely portrait.

I've been using Q for more mundane activities. The following is an idea of how handy the tools of macro can be amplified. The image below is the back side of a peel of wood coating, and you can see all the wood fibres hanging off the back quite nicely.

That's quite the portrait, I like how it came out. The 06 lens is really a nice lens for all sorts of things.

One place I keep thinking about visiting is Kelso Dunes. It's out in the middle of the Mojave Desert, and there's no services or much of anything near by, so I never quite bother to drive off the interstate when I'm driving by. Today I decided to take the detour, since the Vegas to LA traffic was fairly light and I had a little extra time. The Mojave isn't exactly hospitable in the summer, even this early in the summer, and since I didn't have all that much time, I figured I'd drive by, take a couple of pictures and continue on my way. I hadn't quite reckoned on a 3 mile wash-board gravel road, or the fact that you have to walk to get to the dunes themselves. I walked part-way out to them (it really isn't that far) but wasn't prepared for hiking in the desert so turned around before I got very far. It was actually quite interesting, for some reason not quite what I was expecting.

While the area around the dunes is typical Mojave Desert, the dunes themselves look pretty empty of anything living:

But it actually is home to a number of creatures, such as the Mojave Fringed Toed Lizard:

I don't know who lives in this home, perhaps a desert kangaroo rat?

I hope I'll take the time to return to the dunes in the cooler months, and next time I'll go prepared to hike and spend some time exploring. It really is an interesting, isolated spot.

Really detailed shot. Is this a native or adapted lens?

No, that's just a lot of Rhus typhina bushes way below :-) Taken with a 50 mm f/2.8 Pentax 110 lens.

Thanks!

CCTV lens f1.2/16mm [CS mount]

The lens does good work with your Qat (feline model for Q owners.)
Did you add the blue cast with filters or in PP or is that how the lens renders?
Thanks Crew1!

The blue tint is a combination of the front dial [Vibrant Color Enhance],
the evening light [ca 9.45 pm] and AWB, I think...
when I developed the same from the RAW with WB set as Shade I get this output below [100% crop]:

No blue tint... I did not even notice it before, I was so happy about the two first pictures...

Some other results:

front dial [Vibrant Color Enhance] - 1/30th sec - ISO400

front dial [Vibrant Color Enhance] - 1/40th sec - ISO400

front dial [Bold Monochrome] - 1/50th sec - ISO800

Pics straight out of camera - only downscaled to 1024x. And, at last, a picture of this little lens:

Thanks/Erik
