Straight edges. Straight edges everywhere :P

8mm and f1.9 really does give you acceptable depth :P

Thanks guys. Here's a B&W treatment of a different shot (from Aperture & RAW, not ooc).

This is getting to be a pretty busy thread - great shots, I like the conversion above.. i'm finding the RAW is pretty pliable. Beautiful spaniel too.

Shot in DNG and converted to B&W in LR4

Yep. it works with trees too :P Again I'm surprised at the resolving power. perhaps I shouldn't be, but regarding detail, this stupid little sensor seems to see enough.

Bigger.

Thanks all !

The bridge shot was bracketed w/ the Q and 02 zoom lens 9 shots, hdr in photomatix, stitched with ICE and curves in lightroom.

The plane shot was also q & 02.

The shot of the baby was q and 06. I'm really loving this lens - great range, SR works great, and sharpness is excellent (though the conversion from Flickr to PF leaves a lot to be desired - it's way softer and contrast isn't as good).

Really liking the Q - it's almost always with me. I'll probably go w/ a q7 when they arrive in the bricks and mortar store we have in Portland. A little better high iso would be greatly appreciated!

Dim theater with 01 lens.
Used the Tele-wide finder and turned off the back display to avoid disturbing the audience. Also turned off the AF assist light.
I was very happy with the AF on the Q, it performed awesome!
Since I have the sounds turned off I just waited a split second to let the camera focus then took the shot since I could not see the screen to get focus confirmation.
Modes used: Tv @ 1/100, spot metering, ISO 800 (this shot used f2.0)
Cleaned up and cropped in Lightroom 4
