The Q7 either does long range duty with the 06 or fast street normal with the 01.
No need to switch lenses on the DSLR and the Q7 is not big/heavy to encumber me.
That is exactly my mindset with how I use my Q. I basically treat it as another lens. My walkaround setups are usually as follows:

K30 - Normal lens (Tamron 17-50, DA 35 2.4)
Q - Fisheye

or

K30 - Wide lens (Sigma 10-20, DA 15)
Q - 01 Prime

It works really well for me.

My 06 came back from repair. Or more accurately a new 06 came back instead of my broken one. But that's ok, I took some shots with it anyway.

I like the images, nicely shot. makes me wish I got my 06 back

More shots with the Q7.

With the 06. (ceiling on a Temple (Sensoji in Asakusa, IIRC) )

with 01

I also think that the Q7 seems to meter better than my K30.

with the 06
Very nice series of images with your Q and Q7, nicely shot and interesting subjects

Nice shots Larry, on one of my few trips to Vegas I put off gambling and bought my first digital camera a 3mp P&S at a local best buy, I think I was a winner.

Very nice photos! There's a number of places to easily shoot aircraft in Vegas, I've always wanted to try it. But somehow, as often as I go there, I never take the time to do that. If I keep looking at these perhaps I'll actually do it soon.

There's also a spot where there's a hot air balloon launching area in Vegas. Just about every Sunday when I'm leaving town I'll see them (recently there's been more than one) and think I should stop and photograph them, but never do. One of these days...

Winner indeed! We don't gamble either (except maybe the drive from Los Angeles is a gamble )

Thanks Harriet. The south side of the airport has close access to the runways so it is easy to get shots of the commercial jets.
I hadn't done this before, but wanted to get something else instead of the Las Vegas Strip photos I usually take.

Super image froeschle. Great equipment! We are talking ~7000mm focal length. The Q is a precision lens cap for this setup. Have you used this setup for any terrestrial shooting?
