Used the 9 frame multi-exposure to 'calm down' the waves a little.

I was on a cycling commute home and brought along a small tripod with me.

All I can say is, "Wow!" Great job!

Very nicely done and a great idea on smoothing the water, I learned something new today, great shot

nice shots hnikesch. Fall color should be super in a few weeks. Can't wait to see what you get with the Q.

Beautiful landscape pinholecam. If that was my commute, I might never make it home. I use the multiple exposure mode on waterfalls fairly often. It gives a 3rd look vs stop action or cotton candy. My N*k*n buddy hates when I use this mode. It also reduces noise amazingly. Most the noise cancels out with 9 shots.
thanks
barondla

The Q is the perfect bike camera and a lot of fun.

This is very cool. Need to learn more about this exposure mode.

Thanks pinholecam for this idea, I think it worked well for me. First shot HDR auto in camera and 2nd shot 9 shot multi exposure. I will have to remember to bring the remote next time had to use the timer. Shot at sunset with internal ND filter in but the shutter speed was still 1/8 sec. so the water was not as smooth as I was looking for. The 9 exposures did the trick. It also would reduce noise on high ISO shots, I will have to give that a try next, I would also assume that HDR would reduce noise as several exposures would smooth out the noise

Looks good Hans. Does the camera combine the exposures or do you have to do it after the fact?

The camera not only combines the shots (but unlike in camera HDR does not align) you also have the option to have each image add to the exposure or adjust for all images for correct exposure.

So I sent the Q to a mate to play with, and he comes back with this.

Trailing curtain flash sync works a treat.

He just ordered one too :P

Just a collection if shots I have taken with the Q. Taken with a pentax 50mm,

For the price and practicality of the Q, you can't not get one.
