Fresh from the camera via Lightroom....

Tonights moon here, fair bit of smoke around from a nearby fire creating some interesting colour. Original Q, generic K -> Q adapter (w aperture control) & Sigma 70-200mm HSM II @ 200mm f5.6, decent crop too

Thank you. Yes, I love the lens. The owls are patient and allow you to get somewhat close if they are not nesting, but the 01 just would not do it.

Burrowing owl outside his den. Normally quite skittish and head below ground rapidly. He decided to stand his ground. I do like this lens!

Feisty little owls! [img]
Great shot

jezza323, that is a nice moon capture. Smoke adds a lot to the color. Doesn't seem to have ruined the detail. Q loves shooting the moon.
thanks

Wow. Really lovely photos in here everyone; quite the joyful thread.

I'm cross posting these from another thread where folks are sharing pole aerial photography. These were taken using the Q on a monopod held overhead, with the shutter being triggered by the intervalometer.

It's an outdoor public art installation in Montreal called "Entre les rangs" (Between the Rows), that is part of the annual Luminotherapie show (Light Therapy -- sounds much better/more poetic in French) that runs for a few weeks at Place des spectacles. First is with the 03 fisheye; the other two with the 02 zoom. Neither lens is fast and required a relatively long shutter speed to keep the ISO/noise down. So there's some blur.

You can read about the art piece here:

A little shot with the Q + 01 from September 2012 in Death Valley NP, fairly heavy crop to get the framing I wanted in the end...
