Thanks jva59! I think I only sharpened that image a little as the default setting of the Q10 is a little too soft for my liking, that's all, oh and a tiny bit of cropping...

Good scenery of the twillight by the way. Grainy and moody, especially the last one. I don't kown if the moodiness was your goal. If so, mission accomplished

Nicely done I normally don't like B&W but you did good.
Thanks

I like the first two shots the best out of the set.

The grain and look of the B&W adds to stature of the politician. Well done!

Isn't it amazing what the Q can do? I mean if you told me this was shot with a K20d or K200d from a couple of years ago, I would have believed it.... sensor technology has really made a leap...

Really like the first and last of these. The first is such a startling jumble of perspectives and older architectural styles. The last one has a bit of a Gregory Crewdson feel to it.

Many thanks, Brink, Wolfiegirl, and Baro-nite! And thanks also, Baro-nite, for the tip about Gregory Crewdson, of whom I didn't know.

Took a break from the anxieties attendant upon selling a house today with the help of my Q--some 'capture a stranger street style' shots, but with the Q 7 and the 06.

@jva59 we frequent some of the same spots...wonder if we'll ever cross paths out there! (Or are you the guy that sold me the Sigma 10-20mm last year?)

Hi Filoxophy, can't be that person since there is no way that I'd part with my Sigma 10-20. Hope we cross paths some time.

That is a very nice set James, # 4 is absolutely priceless, one of those instances when the shutter clicked at the right millisecond.

I went out for a trail walk with my kids and it was perfect weather for Q and the 01 lens!

I set the aperture to f/2.2, the ISO to 125, and turned on the ND filter. The shots were cooked in in Aperture and are served up on Flickr.

My younger boy saw some butterflies land right in front of him and was in awe.

The 01 makes for a great landscape lens! It's plenty sharp for what I need it to be.

Oh, and then these geese flew by! What a day, what a day!
