Some really great photos in this thread! I couldn't resist any longer and picked up a Q7 today. Only had about an hour to play with it. Here are a couple from today's test run. Will be taking it on vacation soon so hope to have some more and interesting shots from that.

06 lens:

06 lens and Toy Camera setting

06 lens

Inside, no flash with the 01 lens (This is one of my cats and his name happens to be Q. Thought I'd mention that trivia. He's named after the James Bond character. So - Q with a Q).

Nice one Dave (Is it just the wide angle, or are those really enormous portions?)
Jva59, they were enormous. I ordered a small cone so I could help Elly with hers. But the girl behind the counter piled it on high...not that I'm complaining.

Charlie,

I love the first one with the clouds and glass building. Well done!

A great street cam for sure -- pocketable and inconspicuous. Love the shopping cart shot.

Quite happy with how this turned out for such difficult circumstances with a small sensor.
Well done hand held in low light!

On a recent trip to Waterton Lakes National Park I stopped for a few minutes at this wind farm. Q7 and 02 lens.
Nice set, #2 especially.

Lift-off. Q + 06 zoom.
Great catch! Some interesting longitudinal CA with the 06.

I was shooting a month with a fish eye and bolted out of the house to catch rainbows resultant from a thunder storm - the Q was conveniently tucked away in my car.
Beautiful -- the Q is great for fleeting moments.

Now that's a rare find!

Heres some shots I took with the Q & 01 Prime ...recent trip to California.
Fun varied set. Love that low rider.

Arctic Tern.
Nice detail, that's mighty close, even with the 06.

there was no way to safely get a photo in heavy morning traffic. I settled for this capture after arriving at work.
Good choice! and it's still an impressive sky.

with super great depth of field, nice clarity and colors. I do want that lens.

Excellent street work.

Rediscovered a shot from late last year at the Getty Center. I had passed it over, but yesterday I saw something new in it and with a new crop and PP I like it now:

First impressions with new Q7:
wow it is tiny
bold monochrome makes everything look cool
nice lack of shutter lag
wife likes it
going to have to rethink lba roadmap
people tend to smile more when i stick the q in their face vs the k5/16-50 deer-in-the-headlights stare

one question, is it really worth it to shoot raw vs jpeg with the q?

and now the requisite first shots around the house:

All depends on what you want out of it. I PP pretty much every photo, so I always shoot raw. The Q raw files don't give you the same latitude as, say, a K-5, but it's still helpful if you like to PP.

Nice raspberry haul. I usually pick both raspberries and blackberries on my hikes, but I seem to have become a tick magnet this year. I've had at least 40 on me, even using repellent, and have been bitten numerous times. I ran across a boat load of huge ripe blackberries this weekend, but I didn't want to risk another tick infestation.
