From a recent Pentax monthly outing here.
I find that the combi of a small general coverage Q7 system and a high detail camera like the DP1m (or GR) makes for a good light travel setup.

A friend said she liked how some shots had blurred backgrounds without her actually knowing what it was and how it was achieved. I took a few with different cameras, lenses, zoom levels and F settings etc. to try and explain. I put the subject at angles so you could see the effect increase on the foreground a bit. It ended up I quite liked this shot
Q7, 06, 200mm F2.8 as close to the subject as it would focus and the plant in the background is approx 250mm behind.
EDIT: A bar of soap she makes.

Ha! forgot about this one from a few months ago - Q7. The 08 lens can certainly distort things without trying sometimes but this one worked OK for me

I like the color saturation of this steam engine. The depth of field demonstration is also effective. Did she get the point?

Yeah she did. It's funny, you don't realise how little people know who are not into photography. She thought it was all done in software somehow.
Same with any subject I guess though.

I though this unusual bottle of Absinth deserved a pic, even though I copied a previous layout. Q7, 06 @ 45mm F2.8

Unique indeed.
At times, I am left wondering why it was bunched up with the others

A few shots of some things I am selling. Against my better judgement, I shot jpeg (just for speed), which was better than I expected for processing. I wish I had shot RAW, though. I used off-camera flash. These were at iso125, and some are cropped. All were at least touched in post.
