New to my Q-S1 and the forum. First post of some quick shots at a local country church with the 08 lens. Loving the lens and my Q so far!

Freezing rain here today. Tough day to be a bird

This fella is satisfied with his Rembrandt lighting though

I took these with the DA*50-135 via the genuine Pentax K-Q adapter. As expected, IQ is stellar and it's good to see that the Q7 is more than a match for good glass.

I've also got a Yongnuo 560 III strobe remote mounted and controlled with the 560-TX hot shoe mounted controller. I'm shooting through a storm window but I've mounted the flash off-axis to prevent reflections.

And here's the Q7 with the DA* 50-135 F2.8 compared to the K-5 with HD DA 55-300 WR. Both 100% crops. Mighty close

This was shot with my Pentax Q-S1 and 01 Standard Prime lens.

I love this camera!Went with my wife to a local clothing store and saw these overly gleeful mannequins welcoming us as we walked into the store. It brought to mind the REM song from the early 1990s, Shiny Happy People, about the fake happiness posters that used to adorn Chinese walls and billboards back then. I think this is the American equivalent of Shiny Happy People.

Another one shot with my Pentax Q-S1 and 01 Standard Prime lens.

Shooting Art at the Art Museum: The walls of light at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City provided a nice background for a portrait of my wife as she peered over the edge of a glass rail with her K-5. The strong back lighting made her almost appear to be standing in a bank of fog.

Your high-key wife shot is a good example of when pure B&W just wouldn't have the same effect as that with a touch of color. Almost, but not quite a B&W shot. Well done.

Wanted to see how well the Q would work for digiscoping. This is with the 01 lens, Tv mode 1/2000 shutter speed in autofocus mode..held up to one of the eye pieces of a dusty, 70's era 20x50 binocular. I focused the binoculars on some leaves, then held the binocs in one hand and Q in the other trying to keep it all aligned. This was my first shot. I'm impressed with how clear it is. This with no processing except for size so I could upload it. I could see with a tripod and good scope the results would be very good using the Q.
