Thanks! That combo really is kind of a 300mm macro, really cool.

Thanks. Your work with the Q was a contributing factor to me buying in.

Franklin Mint Southern PS-4 Steam Locomotive

This is a HO scale model of the Southern Railway PS-4 Class 4-6-2 passenger locomotives that were used in the 1920's to around the early 1950's. This model was sold by the Franklin Mint. The last actual PS-4 is preserved in the Smithsonian. This image was shot as part of my 03/02/2015 CWRailman Blog on these models. To learn more about this or similar models check out my CWRailman WEB page.

Shot with Q7, 01 lens. F8, ISO 100. Camera was about 12 inches away from the model. Ambient overhead single tube 40 watt florescent lighting. White sheet of paper used as a fill down low to bounce some light into the driver wheels.

Great shot! I look at shots like this and it makes me want to go take a hot shower to warm up. It also reminds me why I live in Arizona.

Thx, it's always the same bird. O could walk 90º around him so I took photos from different
angles to catch different backgrounds.

The head shot it's probably at 200mm. The others probably around 120mm. Aperture F4 to F5.6
