Yeah, it's a bit grim now. The wife and I were down in May to the Alfresco event at the cricket ground to see the Blackpool band, Section 25 - well worth the visit :-)
Took me 2 months to getting round to editing the pics, so far behind.....

I'm continually surprised at how well the Q7+08 does bright, saturated colors.

Took my Q7 with me on a walk today.
First time I have done that in a while.
Now I wonder why that was.

A couple of shots from the DA40XS on a Q7.
With the adapter, the "flat wonder" makes a shorter rig than the 06 zoom, and focuses closer.

Great shot as usual John. Any info on the camera/lens settings and ISO? Do you use any filters on the lens such as polarizer?

How did the bike dance on that gravel road? Your killing me though as it's still in the 105 degree range here with motorcycle and photography excursions done early before the heat. I can't wait for September - May.

Q7 with the 08 zoom, F3.2, 38.4mm which is on the long end, ISO125, 1/1250. No filters. I try to avoid clipping highlights as much as possible.

Whenever I faced a gravel road or a wide open field with the Royal Enfield, I thought to myself, "They ride these things all over the place in India." and then I just went for it.

Regarding heat, do you have an evaporative cooling vest or towel? They work wonders.

Blue-Eyed Darner, Q7 and 06 Lens.

This one was just out of my office building when I was walking to my car.

I opened my work backpack, grabbed Q7, removed 01 lens, attached 06, and started shooting. That's the great thing about Q system to me, that it's almost always with me and ready whenever I want as it fits in any bag.

1:1 crop around the head. I like the details of the hairs on the thorax.

Shot the local pride parade here. Had the used the 06 but had to switch to the 02 for versitality's sake.

If I can find another Q7 body I wouldn't hesitate dual wielding an 06 and an 08 for parades, that would be sweet.

Also photos were edited with Fotor, it's a windows 8 app, it's pretty good with some VSCO like filters.
